Privacy Policy

HMK Photo Editor is a free, ad-supported app made by HMK DEV. This page explains what information the app uses, why, and what choices you have.

Effective date: 10 October 2026

Your photos and your work

Everything you make with the app is made on your phone. The photos you choose, the pictures you save and the projects the app keeps for you (Continue editing) stay on your device. They are never uploaded to us or to anyone else.

The app has no accounts and does not ask for your name, email address or phone number.

Finding the person in a photo

Remove Background, Photo Outline and some effects (such as Neon) use Google’s ML Kit to find the person or object in a picture. This runs entirely on your device; the picture is not sent anywhere.

Permissions

You can withdraw any permission in your phone’s settings; the related feature will simply stop working.

Advertising

The app is paid for by ads served by Google AdMob, which may also show ads from its partner networks. Ads appear as a banner, sometimes as a full-screen ad (for example when the app opens or after you save), and as an optional video you can choose to watch to unlock some filters, outline styles or designs for 24 hours. Which items you have unlocked is remembered only on your device.

AdMob and its partners may use your device’s advertising ID, IP address and similar information to show and measure ads. Where the law requires it (for example in the EEA and the UK), you are asked for consent first, and you can change your answer at any time from Settings › Ad privacy choices in the app. You can also reset or delete your advertising ID in your phone’s settings.

Analytics

The app uses Google Analytics for Firebase to understand, in general terms, how the app is used (for example which screens are opened and how the app performs on different phones). This uses an app instance ID and basic device information. It does not include your photos.

Notifications

If you allow notifications, the app uses OneSignal and Firebase Cloud Messaging to send occasional messages. To do this, a push token and basic device information (device model, Android version, language and country) are recorded. This is used only to deliver those messages. You can turn notifications off at any time from Settings › Notification Settings in the app or in your phone’s settings.

Third-party services

These services have their own privacy policies:

We do not sell your information, and we do not share it except through these services as described above.

Security

Information handled by the services above is sent over encrypted connections. No method of sending or storing data is 100% secure, but we choose well-known providers and keep what is collected to a minimum.

Children

The app is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the app, contact us and we will help remove it.
